Am I Doing Something Wrong?

I just bought this food processor. It did a great job with the S-blade chopping walnuts. But when I put the shredder blade on and tried to shred some apples, it did not feed down into the blade much. The apples stayed on top of the blade. The pushed did not go down far enough to make the apple feed into the shredder blade. Am I doing something wrong?

Very disappointing

I used this item two times and it broke. My whole kitchen (range with oven and wall oven, refrigerator, warmer drawer, and dishwasher are all KithenAid and I love those appliances.

Hadn't expected it to be a disposable

This food processor quit working after less than a year. It also did a poor job of pureeing. And was very, very loud Absolutely not worth the money. Not worth any money.

A time and labor saver

This is my first food processor so I really don't have anything to compare it to. So far have shredded carrots for carrot cake which save me so much time. Chopped onions which kept my eyes from watering and burning. Finally chopped up for ounce bar of unsweetened chocolate nicely. ( I did break up to chocolate bar first into smaller pieces ). Happy with my purchase. I watch the online video about using this food processor before I used it and it was helpful. Easy to put together and take apart. Easy to clean.

Stopped working after 3rd use

I was so excited to receive this as a gift for our wedding. I was making homemade spaghetti sauce and the machine just stopped. I thought I might have unplugged it, so I jiggled the cord, unpkugged it and plugged it back in. I hit the button again and nothing happened. This was only the third time I had used it. I was so disappointed. The bottom of the processor felt warm but I didn't think anything of it. I have a few kitchen aid products so was upset this one didnt last as ling as the others.

Not What I Expected

I just got my food processor today. Before buying, i contacted KA to find out if this model slices and was told "yes". I also mentioned that i would be making sweet potato, zucchini, banana and beet chips, just making sure it slices. I wish i was told that this model does slice but not very thin. I see nowhere to adjust the slicing feature.Now what?

Died on second use!

I received this model KFP0719 as a Christmas present December 2018. Used it after I got it home. Loved it! Used it this morning, it stopped, I scraped bowl, restarted, and it stopped never to restart. I read the manual I let it sit for close to an hour still would not work. Very disappointed as I can't return it to QVC as it was a gift.

Must have kitchen appliance

I purchased my 7 cup KitchenAid food processor from the Shopping Channel and it was shipped and received within a week. It looks beautiful and fits perfectly on my kitchen counter, where it will stay, as I will be using frequently. After cleaning, I used it to mix pizza dough and shred cheese, wow, it's so fast. My next project will be to make apple crisp. I am interested in purchasing the recipe book for this KitchenAid food processor, please let me know if you have one available.

Design not really thought out.

The shredder blade should sit higher, so you can shred/slice all the way. The chute should be wider. Since the lid comes off, it be nice if kitchen Aid made an accessory lid with a larger chute. I've only used once since I've gotten it.

I bought this around Thanksgiving, and find it wonderful in it's compactness and simplicity. It's easy to use and the way the lid easily pops off makes it nice to pour and handle. Storing is not a problem either.

Great size, but...

I purchased this processor this past summer. I've used it only a few times, mostly for purees and pie crusts. While I was preparing Christmas eve dinner, I attempted to dice some room temp Parmesan cheese. It was only 3 ozs. and cut into small cubes. After pulsing twice, the processor stopped. I should have read some of these reviews before purchasing. Very disappointed. It should have been able to handle it.

I rec'd my 7-cup food processor from QVC on 10/8. Today is 12/4 and I tried to use it and it's dead. I thought I blew an electrical circuit so I tried another receptacle and it still didn't work. I loved this model - it's lighter weight and pretty color. I have many kitchenAid appliances - hope they don't shoot craps too.

Base is Dead

We received this as a wedding gift...it was the first thing we registered for. Used it about 10 times (not even to its full potential) and when we went to use it about a week ago the base was dead and didn't turn on. We tried every plug in the kitchen, turning off and on our circuit breakers, and nothing. So disappointing, considering I thought this top of the line product would last for years to come. Now what do we do??

Lifelong Kitchenaid fan, but NOT of this processor

I decided to downsize to a smaller Kitchenaid processor because I'm a one person household now. I have always purchased Kitchenaid for countertop appliances and stoves, dishwashers, etc. due to the dependable quality. I purchased this 7 cup processor from QVC about three months ago - it's too late to return it to them. Last week it worked well, today (Thanksgiving) it will not power on - nothing. I've taken it off the base, returned it to the base, taken off the lid, put the lid back on, tried other outlets...no power AT ALL! This is the first Kitchenaid product that I would give a total fail to. I have never hesitated to recommend Kitchenaid to friends and family before this. Perhaps I just received a lemon from the lot.
