Bought this after a lot of research and am glad I did. It's still early, but this blender is exceeding my expectations. It's powerful and MUCH better quality than the competition. A real plus is the great customer service during the research process. The associate answered all my questions patiently and thoroughly.

Used it almost everyday to make nut milk and the results were exceptional. Making soup in 5 minutes and it was smooth and silky. Smoothie, slushies, dips, all my friends were wowed by the taste that comes out of this.

I am so happy with my Kitchen Aid Pro Line Blender. It has replaced my Vitamix5200 that was getting old. I love the large square opening for easy loading and pouring and I purchased the red color that looks great in my black and red kitchen!! As a vegan chef and food lover this was a great buy (got at a super discount) and I use it usually twice a day!!

ProLine Blender with Thermal Container

I bought this on a whim as I walked through a Williams Sonoma store almost 2 yeas ago. I had no intention on buying a blender that day nor that year. She was doing a demo and I was impressed with the products she made. I still had an old Kitchenaid blender that still worked well . I paid $599 but got a $100 rebate for sending in my old blender (which cost me $40 to ship) I liked the blender with one exception. The container is large and the base is wide so difficult to make small batch items. I had to buy a small food processor for this. At about 1 year old I noticed a film developing on the inside of my blender. I rinsed and washed it after each use. At about 1 1/2 yr old I started to notice a dark brown grease/oil coming out of the unit and into my blender container. So into my food. It would take me about 15 min to get it all out of the inside of my container. I finally stopped using it after a few more months. After thorough investigation I know the grease/oil is coming from the unit, splattering around the square outside part of the jar and getting inside of my jar and food. I called Kitchenaid today, 05/01/2018, to explain the situation. They said it's normal to have grease/oil around the metal outside piece but the jar should be sealed and therefore it would not get into the jar/food. They are sending me a new jar/container under warranty. Question - if it was normal to have grease/oil around the outside metal then why did I not have any in the first 1 1/2 years? I called the WS store and they have not heard of this nor had this experience. The customer service person from Kitchenaid said if that doesn't solve the problem then they will replace the unit as it has a 10 year warranty. Why should I have to risk my health and get grease/oil into what I make so I can prove that there is a problem with my unit. I have a lot of kitchenaid appliance and have never contacted them with a warranty issue before. So, I do not have a history with doing this. I will try out the new jar, when I get it, but am very disappointed with Kitchenaid and how they chose to handle this.

I've owned Vitamix and Blendtec and this rivals them both. I LOVE the tamper and it is extremely helpful to keep thicker mixes blending. The machine is very powerful and creates a very smooth blend even of large pieces. The presets for juice, smoothies, self-clean, etc. work very well and are helpful time savers for me on busy mornings. My only hesitation to give 5 stars is that it is not very good with smaller batches. I love making homemade mayo but this blender doesn't seem to emulsify well because of the small batch. Same with smaller batches of whole fruit sorbet. The tamper doesn't reach far enough down to keep the mix in the blades. (Which I assume is to keep the tamper out of the blades, but if the blender jar were more narrow at the bottom I think this issue would not be as bad.). I would love to see a smaller jar accessory as an additional purchase option, then we'd have perfection. Overall though, definitely worth the investment. And it is a beautiful appliance on my countertop.

I love my Kitchen Aid blender. I make smoothies, soups and dressings daily and am amazed how easy it is to use this blender. It can pulverize even the hardest ingredients and the soup setting really makes the liquid steaming hot. I enjoy the auto-cleaning function as well - you just turn it on and the machine will clean itself. The noise level is not bad comparing to some other blenders out there. It is my favorite appliance in my kitchen!

Very powerful blender. Make sure you follow instructions for order of items (liquid first, hardest items last) to ensure everything processes smoothly. Very happy with purchase. And color selections make it more interesting than just a plain blender.

We've only had this blender for about a month, but we're very impressed so far. The smoothies are smooth as silk and are very easy with the preset speed and timed smoothie setting. Comparable to what you get at a Jamaba Juice, but you decide exactly what's going into it. Can't wait to make Gazpacho and hot soups in this blender. This blender is big, so don't expect to slide it under a normal height upper cabinet. The other issue is that the blender is loud, but not sure there's anything that can be done about the noise level when the blender is generating so much power. This blender isn't cheap, but when you look at the 3.5 horsepower, double wall jar, heavy duty construction and ascetically pleasing design, this was the only choice versus the other high end blenders.

PRO LINE SERIES BLENDER WITH THERMAL CONTROL JAR

I've had this blender over a month now and it is beyond what I ever expected, it's amazing and although pricey, worth it. It even cleans itself! The auto controls for juicing vegetables or blending fruit smoothies is over the top. I was a "juicer" and had a Brevel Juicer which took all the fiber out of the vegetables/fruits, the Pro Line Series by Kitchenaide uses the entire vegetable/fruit so nothing is wasted. Not to mention the clean-up is incredibly quick and easy whereas the Brevel Juicer took forever, cleaning each component. If your waffling about purchasing this Blender go for it, you won't be disappointed. I love it!

I received this blender as a Christmas gift. This machine blends like a dream. I have had no issues blending anything. I have used the juice setting, the smoothie setting, and the soup setting. Smoothies come out silky smooth and everything is blended to perfection. The soup setting was amazing. I had not idea a blender could make soup. I did a carrot, coconut, ginger soup. The setting worked great. For those saying they are having issues with the soup setting, I would say you are probably not following instructions or even using the right setting. This blender is phenomenal!

We had a NINJA prior to this blender. Looks great on the counter and works like a beast. My husband thanks me everyday for buying him this blender. It makes are smoothies taste so much better than before. Its so powerful we tell our little one to run when we turn it on. Haven't tried the other features but so far its been a wonderful addition to my Kitchen.

Greetings from Brazil! I usually prepare whole cakes and pies using the blender, but I was very difficult since these preparations are heavier and drier. With my new blender, it has become easier and faster to prepare my recipes and now I can even innovate and invent my recipes! I share here my recipe of parmesan sauce for salads and dips, which is a success: Mayonnaise, cloves of garlic, salt, black pepper, chives, mustard and parmesan! It's delicious !!!! when kitchenaid announced this blender I was really excited to have one. But I live in Brazil and this blender was only available in USA. So, when my brother travelled to Miami I begged to him to bring one to me and he did it. What was my surprise when I realized thar the soup mode does not work. I selected the soup cicle and it works for less than a minute and shuts off. The status indicator flashes an orange light, but there is nothing locking the blades. I tried just with water, and the problem stayed the same. For other cicles the blender works great. But I paied more to have this soup mode and it does not work. I feel horrible because I live in Brazil and do not know how t solve this problem. I always trusted in kitchenaid products but now I am having seconds thoughts. I sended an email asking for help thru the kitchenaid website but no one replied. I am really disapointed.

I got my blender about a month ago and I use it everyday, multiple times a day!! I mostly have been using it to make smoothies and juices - it's great! I usually pack the thing full with mostly frozen fruit and the blender has no problem making wonderful creamy drinks. The only con is that it's a bit loud...and they don't make it in my favorite Kitchenaid color, apple green. I will continue to give updates as I use it more.

Not happy with the size of the jar

We are a small family with only my husband and myself. We primarily make smoothies and the jar is too big because our ingredients do not cover enough of the blades. So we make larger batches and store the blended smoothie in the fridge - but it is not as good the next day. We also thought that we would make creamed soup, however we feel it is easier just to blend and make on the stove. I am unable to return because I have had the Proline blender for over 30 days.

I never knew I could LOVE a blender!

I was gifted this blender even though I already had a vitamix. I tried the recipe I made myself each morning in the KitchenAid just to see the difference... it was then I knew I would never look at vitamix the same way! I was completely hooked after that! It made my smoothie so much faster and the smoothness didn't even compare. It completely destroyed the seeds from the raspberries and strawberries! I have since been experimenting and my favorite accidental find is turning boring old cocoa mix and cold water into a perfectly hot, velvety smooth luxury cup of cocoa! I highly recommend this blender to anyone who will listen! Thank you, KitchenAid for making such an amazing product!!

Using previously the standard blender, I only bought as the standard wasn't available in Candyapple red. It is of course quite a jump in price to get the color you want, but after the first use. It is absolutely worth the money. Definitely a pro version just like you see it in stores.

I have been in the market for a high performance blender for a while. I did lots and lots of research and I was set to purchase a Vitamix BUT then I came across the KitchenAid Pro-Line Blender with Thermal Jar and I was blown away! I did my research and decided to dive it! It had all the features I was looking for, it has 3 presets for soup, smoothies and juice, it also has variable speeds from 1-11 AND a self clean feature! I could not be happier! The first thing I made was a smoothie. WOW! So smooth, no chunks, perfection! Next I made some potato soup. Again WOW! it came out nice an thick and creamy and HOT! Delicious! I have also made hummus from the included recipe book and it came out amazing, smooth and creamy. I use it every day for my smoothie and I just can't brag enough! I'm a huge KitchenAid fan, and this blender did not disappoint! Its is a MUST HAVE if you are in the market for a high performance blender! I will warn you it is loud, but not too loud in my opinion. Most high performance blenders are loud so I would say its no louder than the competitors. For me its not an issue at all, but just wanted add that. It is also tall, it will fit on my counter under my cabinets, but I have to remove the top, again not an issue for me. When I say this blender is amazing, I mean, it is AMAZING! 5-Stars for sure!

Wonder Additional to my Small Appliances

I already had a blender previously however I was never too happy with it as it did not crush ice well, I could really due warm soups well or keep things very cold. When I was registering for my wedding recently, I came across a Kitchen Aid rep in William Sonoma who was showing this piece. What was great is she explained the blender and all the capabilities it has much more so than the normal blender. The thermal jar was the BEST feature on this product. While I did not get it as a gift, I just had to have it and it has become one of my favorite appliances. I make smoothies on a daily basis and find that this work EXCELLENT! Very happy about this piece.

If you shine bright light (or sunlight) on the red Pro Line you'll see all kinds of smudges and scratches that look like tape glue or packaging rubs but they're actually flaws in the finish. It's too bad because it's beautiful and probably works great but a premium priced product should have a near perfect finish and this is all over the whole unit. We gave it 3 tries at the request of the Williams Sonoma staff but we just unboxed another one and the finish is terrible. It's clearly a manufacturing flaw. $500-$600 for a blender you would think more people would notice and complain. If you have red go take a look at yours

I love this blender! I blend vitamin drinks daily and use ice cubes and frozen fruit. There are never unblended pieces of fruit left in the container that I have found with other blenders. I like the touch turn on system. I would prefer to have a smaller container to make my drinks.

When I got my Kitchenaid Pro Line blender, it was more beautiful than I had imagined. It was a little larger than I thought, wouldn't quite fit on my counter with lid on, oh well, too pretty to put under cabinet. Made smoothies right away. Used the smoothie setting and loved how it blended with ease, even with ice, and shut off after the 40 seconds.It also came with a nice recipe book. I can't wait to make soup next. I have been very impressed with the Pro Line.

I bought my blender in July. I love it! However, the dishwasher caused the blender jar to deform even though it's supposed to be dishwasher safe. But the good folks at Kitchen Aid are taking care of it. So I'm still happy and I still love it. I just won't put it in the dishwasher anymore.

So beautiful and extremely powerful! The jar is doubled walled and so far it has stayed nice, clean and clear. It really is a workhorse and can blend everything. I haven't had to use the tamper yet - it finds a way to get the hard ingredients moving. I am retiring my Vitamix, which is saying a lot!

Reviewer received a free sample of this product. This machine has been my favorite appliance this summer. We live in a lake and have lots of guests during the summer. My trusty blender makes the best dips, sauces and soups without hearing up the kitchen and my guests love to try out recipes. My grandson "takes orders" for smoothies at breakfast and has developed some great ones. I'm not sure I could live without this blender!

Best Blender I've Ever Owned

This is the best blender I've ever had. It is easy to use due to the specific settings (soup, juice, smoothie). I love the juice and smoothie setting, you put everything in the blender, turn it on and let it do its thing and it will shut off when its ready. Even though it is a little large and bulky, this machine has replaced my smaller blender and juicer. I'm in love!

Reviewer was provided free sample of this product. I love the power of this blender in quickly blending ingredients for recipes. I've used it many times to make smoothies, and I love the option of simply pushing the "smoothie" button and letting the blender go until it's finished. It's so quick and simple in the mornings. Another great feature is the "clean" button on the blender. It makes clean-up super easy and efficient.

Beautiful and Powerful Blender

We got this blender about a 3 weeks ago and immediately began making smoothies. They came out creamy and smooth. We also made pesto and avocado dressing and will not buy store bought anymore. Soups are another easy recipe with this blender and they are also creamy and stay hot with the thermal control jar. We were looking at another top of the line blender, but we think this beats them all!

Reviewer received free sample of this product. I've used this blender several times to make smoothies in the morning. It is quick and easy to use. I love the options to turn the dial to a specific food item, and it blends until it's complete. Also love the "clean" option on the dial so you are able to wash the blender out with just a turn of the dial. The strength of the blender in processing the food items is amazing.

Reviewer received a free sample of this product. This machine is a work horse. I worked through the recipe book included and tried most recipes with great results for each. Smoothies, sauces, dips, soups, mayo and puddings turned out beautifully. The measurements on the blender jar are very helpful, it's easy to clean and the heating function is a cook's dream. It's heavy, so I keep it on the counter and it is noisier at high speeds. I'm happy; I love it!

Reviewer received a free sample of this product. I was very impressed with the power of this blender and its ability to smoothly incorporate the ingredients. The blender made a two serving milkshake in less than 30 seconds with no stopping to push the ice cream down or stir! It performed equally as well making sauces. The soup setting is a bonus. I expected that the soup may just be heated to room temperature, but it was to hot to touch and steaming. The tomato based soup I made slightly stained the thermal control jar. This blender would be a welcome addition to your kitchen arsenal.
