The shelves are not spaced well with the height of most products. Very disappointing in trying to fit everything in because of the height spacing.

I purchased this based on the measurements with the help of the appliance store I ordered it from. For thr price it does not have many features. The ice machine under performs and we are always out of ice with just the 2 of us. The bottom drawer came off the track the 1st week we got it and feels like very cheap plastic. For the price I paid of over 2000 and the Maytag name I thought I was getting a better made product.

Beautiful refrigerator, but unfortunately it™™s true ™" it™™s noisy. You can read all the 1-star reviews, and they are accurate. I ordered mine from Maytag.com and paid for the installation service. On the second morning, everyone in my family agreed we should return it because of the loud sound.
I spent more than 2 hours on the phone with Maytag service, being transferred several times. The wait time was so long that I even asked one of them before being transferred if there would be another wait. She said no, but I still waited another 20™30 minutes. Finally, I spoke with a lead named Leslie, who told me my refrigerator couldn™™t be returned because it was ™used,™ even though I told them it wasn™™t. She said they would check the call recording. I asked how to follow up and was told they would call me back within 72 hours. Now it™™s been more than 120 hours, and nobody from Maytag has called.
A brand new product, installed less than 24 hours, and I still can™™t return it ™" crazy! Don™™t be fooled by their claim: ™Request a return within 15 days for products purchased through Maytag.com that are in new condition.™
I really hoped to support Maytag ™" a good American brand ™" but this experience was very disappointing. I™™m giving up. I won™™t buy any product from Maytag or its family brands again.
I usually don™™t write reviews, but I want to share my experience so others can learn from it.

We are limited to a small area for our fridge. We really wanted the bottom drawer freezer and a single door fridge but couldn™™t get that. Settled for the French door and really did not like the interior set up so we took a huge loss for restocking and traded it back in in the same brand that failed us after only 6 years. Hope the brand lasts longer this time.

This refrigerator has worked well and we like the freezer on the bottom design. One characteristic is that the lower part , where the vegetables are stored is the coldest area.
This can freeze in the bottom back bin, while leaving the top shelf kinda warm. I have had to move the beer to the bottom bin and have some frozen carrots.

Purchased Sept. 2. Did not get installed until Sept. 24. The two French doors are nice, but the way they seal is strange. As you shut the left door, a vertical seal tab folds out when it closes against the shelving. The right door then closes on top of that vertical seal. If you try to close the left door after the right door, the fold out tab will not let the door close because it runs into the right door rubber vertical seal. You are forced to open the right door and then close to get a good seal. The cooling system is quite good and keeps the refrigerator area cold and keeps items in the freezer drawer frozen. I would have given a 5-star rating if there were a water dispenser in the refrigerator area. After the install, I noted the lack of a water dispenser and contacted the store. I was told that you have to buy a wider refrigerator to get a water dispenser and a wider refrigerator would not fit in the refrigerator space. There is ample room in the refrigerator to place a water dispenser. The placement of the keep fresh air filter is also a problem. When it comes time to change it, I will have to take everything off the shelf in front of it and take out the shelf to change it. All this time, both doors are open and cold is escaping. This refrigerator design regarding the lack of a water dispenser and air filter placement is dumb as a box of rocks.

I bought this about a month ago and wish I had picked a different make. The oven doesn't keep even heat at setting, and I am having difficulty baking. Repair tech already out once and reset temp. He knew right away what was wrong. He also suggested that I should have bought a better model. I have always had gas ranges, and NEVER had trouble with the oven temperatures.

Simple compact design with desirable features, although the icemaker was inoperative from day one; the wire harness was found to be disconnected by the local contract service tech who appeared one week after we called in the complaint. The icemaker worked well after the technician connected the wire harness. Poor fit / lesser-grade plexiglass noted on produce doors. Door periphery moisture production is excessive, even with the moisture control on. Prior repair tech recommended Maytag; now a Whirlpool product made in Mexico.

We love the fridge™"appearance, accessibility, and specially the gallon size door trays. I like the higher placement of the produce drawers. This was almost a 4-star review because it is louder than our previous Maytag (which we had for 20 years, btw), but we no longer notice. It is a beautiful thing!

Finally a drama free refrigerator. Maytag, made in America with American engineering that cares more about function and longevity. A very solid refrigerator and freezer with ice maker.
Our home already had a Samsung refrigerator which was a five year nightmare. Poorly designed as it wouldn't defrost until we manually wrapped a copper wire around the heating unit and put it all the way down the fridge's drain tube. Then the ice maker went out, then it would freeze up anyway and flood while attempting to defrost. Samsung went for bells & whistles that only cause further grief as the more that can go wrong usually does. Buy Whirlpool products - Maytag, Amana, KitchenAid -well made and more affordable than the others. I liked buying directly from Whirlpool site and the delivery and set up by Cameron and Alex was excellent.

this arrived less than a week ago. the french doors fit better in my kitchen than a full length door. I still haven't figured out the shelves; there seems to be no place for tall objects but the manual says they might either slide or fold. confusing. the door bins are not adjustable. either use them or take them out. I am not sure what is the best use for the bottom drawer-- it has no top so not for produce. it's a puzzle, but it cools well and the bottom freezer is useful.

I cannot live with the noise this thing makes. It's like a small car idling and it runs constantly. Am working with dealer to return it. I can hear it down the hall 25 feet away and it's insufferable in open concept kitchen/diner. Would give it zero stars if possible. Maybe mine is just defective -- but I don't recommend anyone try it out.

I regret purchasing this Maytag refrigerator from day one. The price went down two days I placed the order through the Maytag website. I called customer service to get the price difference but they refused to honor the price match policy posted on their website. After I received the product, it stopped working within three weeks. Again, customer service refused to allow a return for full refund and instead asked me to go through the warranty process. I have lost all confidence in the quality of Maytag products and customer service. Don't buy!!!

I purchased this right before Memorial Day weekend this year. The freezer started to make an intermittent loud buzzing noise. Freezer temps were up to 43 degrees, even when set to the coldest setting. Fridge temps were 55 degrees, also on the coldest setting. I love the style of the fridge. But having to get major warranty work done after owning it for less than a month is a little discouraging.

We went from a side-by-side Maytag, which was over 10 years old to this model. Absolutely love this refrigerator. First off. The French door design makes so much sense and whoever designed the interior of the refrigerator section was brilliant. When you open the fridge, you have a panoramic view of everything in it in the old traditional refrigerator side-by-side things would be in the back and you didn™™t even know what was in the refrigerator, but this one helped you keep
track of what you have. The freezer section works excellent with different sections in the bottom allows you to keep beef and pork on one side, chicken and fish on the other. Plenty
off room for our iced cream containers. Top section wirh ice holds frozen vegetables. It™™s very quiet and the only sound you hear is when occasionally the ice drops into the icemaker bucket. We have a Maytag washer and dryer and Jenn-Air stove all between 10-15 years old and still going strong. Very happy we stuck with the Maytag brand for our new refrigerator.

The same week I bought this refrigerator, the compressor stopped working. We were out of town and when we returned home, the whole house had a wretched smell as does the inside of the refrigerator. I have tried everything to get rid of the smell, to no avail. The glass shelves arrived cracked, as well. Whirlpool™™s only offer is to replace the compressor. So within 1 week of purchasing a new refrigerator from Whirlpool, I™™m dissatisfied and ready to discard this one and order one through a company that will replace a faulty appliance. I would rather have the 20 year old Amana refrigerator that they hauled off for us than this fiasco. A new compressor keeps the refrigerator running, but the smell™¦ Is it my fault that I actually put food in there???

I would give it less than one star if I could. The first Maytag I purchased, had a compressor failure in less than two months This was my second Maytag. The compressor in this one died in less than two weeks after it was delivered! I lost all my food product in both cases, over $600 total loss I will not be compensated for. I had no response from Maytag despite repeated emails (could never get a person on the phone) the only bright light was that I purchased it from a local business and they got it replaced for me both times I went back to Whirlpool the third time, fingers crossed it lasts. I know they are made my the same company, just hoping this batch was better quality controlled.

I bought this as a replacement for my 8 year old Whirlpool that died. I was disappointed with the quality (or lack there of) of the exterior. he insulation they blow in was visible at many of the joints, there were scratches on the side and door handles. The film they use to 'protect' surfaces is very difficult, if not impossible to get off. Some interior parts made of less than sturdy plastic. Ice maker is noisy. For the amount of money paid and the sting of replacing an appliance that was only 8 years old, I felt like I did not get my monies worth and it did not live up to the Maytag reputation,

This refrigerator froze everything in the vegetable/fruit drawers.
No matter how we set the temperature settings, the drawers never got above 30 degrees.
Setting the temperature to a warmer temperature made the main compartment too warm (42 degrees or higher,) But this had no effect on the freezing veggie drawers.
After struggling with this for a week and finding no solution, we went back to the store & they graciously allowed us to return this lemon for another brand with better features. We also were not happy with the shelf arrangements. There was little flexibility in how the shelves could be arranged. The bottom shelf slides back half way to allow for tall items to be put in the front, but then you have to remove all the tall items every time you need what's behind them. Also, the drawers & freezer bins are made from a clear plastic which looked like it would crack easily. I do not recommend this refrigerator.

I purchased this online and it was shipped to my home. It arrived with a badly dented bottom area so I refused delivery. Sadly, I had to pay for delivery even though the item was busted! Getting the refund for the item was also very difficult. That truly does not seem fair.

The exterior is well made
Sturdy handles, fingerprint resistance. The shelves inside the doors, however, are very flimsy. In order to prevent Jars from cracking the shelves, I have lined them with paper towels in hopes of preventing future cracks and breakage.

This Maytag french door replaced an older 2 door (freezer on the top, fridge on the bottom) unit. The lighting and configuration the new fridge is so good. Didn't realize how much we struggled with the old one. The ice maker produces abundant ice, and the temps are good in both the fridge and freezer. Very satisfied and would recommend for those that have the limited space of a 30" fridge.

Unfortunately no one makes a size that fits my cabinet configuration anymore. Wanted something modern, yet would fit most of the space without modifications. This one fit the bill!
Arrived in good condition, but noticed one of the doors were off roughly 1/4". Whirlpool CS helped me get back on track with the item. Seems to work fine, but did take a few days to start dropping ice (which I guess is normal).
So far happy with the purchase!
