I purchased this microwave a little over a year ago from Ferguson.
The number 3 on the key pad had stopped working, then a week later some of the other numbers stopped working. So I contacted Ferguson who told me that it is over a year now and no longer under warranty and they cannot do anything about it.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! Now it completely stopped working. Using my over 20 year old microwave now, glad I didn't throw it out yet!

Some of the buttons stopped working including the start button. The purchase was made in November 2017 so the warranty is not valid. I tried power cycled the unit but still it turns on but can't function. I called Whirlpool they said it the warranty is for 1yr only this is my second One in less than 3 yrs I am not happy with the brand.

Door sometimes sticks Causing malfunction, display is broken.
Disappointed because I bought the most expensive model I could find in the store. Owned less than two years.

The turnable plate ring is not flat and it causes the plate to be unbalanced.

These microwaves are very good overall in performance. They are quiet and cook food well. However, the last one I had similar to this one starting having issues with the controller after a year and 8 months. First the display started to lose segments and then it wouldn't turn on to heat. It started working again, but sometimes a door error is present and the door needs to be opened and closed to get it to work. My hope is that this is a rare occurrence and that this new one will not exhibit the same issues so soon.

Our microwave is only 3 years old and the door is rusting. The turntable has also cracked and broken almost all the way in half.

I bought it in Costco 2017, the start button sometimes was good, sometimes didn't work, but today it totally died. From the first month I started to use it, the plastic film covered on the start button and cancel button were broken, now almost all the film on the buttons are broken. My first microwave is still work well, it's Panasonic 20 years ago. Unfortunately, this whirlpool microwave is beyond the Costco 2-year-warranty only 1 month. The customer sevice represenative said he countertop microwaves were not repairable items. I have to recycle it.

Bought this microwave to match oven that oven that needed replaced.Went back with black.Trim kit to new one is wider than the one on the old microwave.Just does not look right.

bought online. chose Whirlpool because my over the counter Whirlpool is lovely, and because other brands have higher house fire incidents. This countertop product is poorly designed, clunky, sharp corners. Keypad panel is hard to read, small print, on and off difficult to make sense of. Very industrial, cheap, clunky. Now when I turn it on it makes a loud roaring sound the first 15-20 seconds, then subsides into the usual microwave hum. I really hate having it in my kitchen.
