We had a problem with the new LG brand air conditioner...The front grill would not snap onto frame..the grill seemed to be1/8 in short and would not snap onto frame....LG was kind enough to send a new grill but the same problem exists...the grill does not snap in place...it is ok...the side that does not Snap in place will be held together with a piece of tape...So be it...We surely will not be purchasing any more LG any time soonThank you again for trying to help..

I purchased this Air Conditioner for our bedroom to augment our in-house system. The installation including un-packing and complete window installation went well with the instructions provided. The unit works very well keeping the room at a cooler temperature that we like while sleeping. The noise was tolerable once we became adjusted to it and were able adjust the operation to minimize the on-off cycles and noise. Our only concern is whether or not it has to be removed during harsh winter weather or if it is necessary to cover it or can it be left installed uncovered? We are thus far satisfied with this product and the cooling it provides for our large bedroom with or without the total home system.

We are pleased with the unit. Except for the unit automatically checking the temp every 3 minutes. Its fine during the day but very annoying at night while trying to sleep. For that reason I gave it 1 star. Other than that it gets 4 stars I plan on using it for the duration of the summer and purchasing a new unit next year. It more than likely will not be an LG.

i installed this about august 15th it works very well it keeps the room fairly cool even when it was 109 outside. my only complaint is that the remote did not work i called customer service and they said a new one would be sent to me within 7 to 10 days that was two weeks ago still have not received anything.

AC installed perfectly and works well EXCEPT for some reason just about a week after it was installed the clean filter red light came on. Well I took the filter out and cleaned it though it looked perfectly clean...replaced it back into the AC and the light wont go off...not sure what the deal is but I guess Ill never really know when its dirty...very annoying needless to say. If it wasnt for that Id give it 5 stars because its a great system.

I just have this window AC unit for 2 weeks but it has been working everyday because of this tough hot weather. So far it is working fine and keep all my living room/dining rooms so cold and comfortable it is not noisy and no issues so far to report. So my bedroom is rather large consisting of 10 windows all of which are circa 1960s single pane glass with no insulation so the summers get pretty bad. I just installed the LG 10000 BTU unit and man Im actually having nights where Im too cold now which never happened with my older AC unit. My bedroom used to be on average 90 degrees Fahrenheit in the summers and that made sleeping impossible but this new LG AC unit keeps my room right at 70 degrees. Great unit no issues at all so far.

Great response to remote adjustments

I dont have a large area to cool living in a small ranch style home. This 10K BTU cools the small living area and small kitchen nicely along with a pedestal fan going to circulate the cool air. Also like that the baffle bar can be turned to point upward toward ceiling in order to avoid anyone sitting on sofa to become chilled.

So i had a 12000 btu Frigidaire and decided it was time for a new window unit i saw this and bought it well i didnt think there would be that much difference in the 10000 and 12000 BTU. It would probably be fine in a small room but just doesnt get the job done plus on the highest blower setting it doesnt put out much air.

Perfect for the cabin

I purchased the LG A/C for a 520 square foot cabin. The installation was straight forward and it had everything I needed for the installation however I did purchase some wider foam for the window seal and a support for a better installation. The A/C works great and cools the cabin nicely. The A/C noise was less than I expected even though I did specifically look for a quieter one. Overall I am very satisfied

Good cooling but has a vibration at times.

This ac replaced a 15 year old unit that started having a vibration noise. While this new ac cools well and has some neat features it also has a vibration at times which is quite irritating in the middle of the night. Wish I could give it 5 stars but listening to a vibration for another 15 years may drive me crazy.

Wonderful addition to my home

I love all the features of my LG window air conditioner including the remote which I didnt think I would use. Its so easy with the remote to change the temperature and fan speeds plus turning it off and on. I am also thrilled with the Energy Star feature which my old air conditioner didnt have. My unit is quiet and does everything I hoped it would do and more. I like that I can adjust where the air flow is directed so I dont have to always have the air blowing directly on me when Im in the living room. It also cools my kitchen at the same time.

Easy to install use of remote quiet

Just a month ago my LG was installed by my son-in-law and a neighbor who found it light in weight and so easy to install for me. This AC gives me cool comfort from the dining room to the living room. For me the quiet efficiency is just what I love. Cleaning the filter when its light comes on is super easy the directions in the booklet are very clear and simple. Before I bought my LG 10000 BTU I did my research and really happy that the recommended LG met my expectations.

Replaced with a different LG 10000 BTU unit

I purchased this unit for our master bedroom to replace a 25 year old unit. The unit cooled nicely but the found that it was cycling on and off far more frequently than I would have expected when in energy saver mode. This was not something we had experienced before with any window ac unit therefore I returned this model. However I replaced it with another LG unit that works great.
